Looking Back | October.

...a quick* look back at the month of October through the lens of my daily photos.
I made the decision after last month to let go daily prompts. These photos are the ones I've chosen to mark those 31 days. I'm still including only single photos I take with my phone, but I might let an occasional watercolor drop in.

October was still a Charlie show. He featured in six photos...but none after the 16th. (yikes??!!) That was mostly the "I take" factor. When I've seen him I've been handing my phone to Katie to capture the two of us. (and that makes for blog content on other days :-) Wait until later this week when I share what he looks like now - oh my - seven weeks... quite a change!

and a knitting show. Six photos feature knitting projects and four of those are the (now finished) Lindsay coat.

Holly did show up three times (and she solo'd on the 5th!) and I showed up seven (two of them with my face and two with just my fingers).

I love that the same needlepoint featured on two consecutive Mondays...with barely any(?!) progress. The piece is completed now but it won't make a daily photo again until it comes back from the finishers as a pocket on my latest knitting bag.

Food other than popcorn showed up four times (popcorn showed up once) and drinks other than wine and coffee showed up once (look close - there's water in that last Monday photo).

Only nine of the photos were taken away from my (or Katie's) house but it feels like I was out and about a lot more. Maybe the sunshine when I was out had extra impact.

For sure there were "bright blue skies". and for sure it was all good.

*ok, so this is quick because 1) a few of my blogging friends decided to post daily in November and I spent way more time than I planned tonight catching up on their blogs; and 2) I think I just might try to match them for the next 27 days...which means I need to save a bit of content for later.

Love your October photos; all the good stuff is there! I'm thinking maybe we should have some kind of alternating month assignment for NaBloPoMo? It's a lot of writing your own posts, but it's also a lot of reading others' posts like you mentioned. Looking forward to yours!

I'm hoping to be more present in my November photos-which will mean handing my phone off to someone else!

Your month collages are a great way of recapping a month in the life of Mary. You seem to be getting more comfortable with the selfie and I love all the Charlie pictures. Looking forward to more days with Mary!

That's the trick to daily blogging! You have to dole out the blog-fodder in slow, steady chunks! XO
