A few years ago I realized I do not need to place the most fragile ornaments way up high. Our sons are 29 and 27! When Erin was Charlie's age, Tom taught her to "touch one finger" with the ornaments on the tree. It took some doing, but it worked! We still laugh about "touch one finger" every year when we decorate the tree -- and she does, too!Kymhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01332895223302876006noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1195641087108033893.post-41760711952660325332015-12-09T08:19:58.505-05:002015-12-09T08:19:58.505-05:00Within a week Charlie will know every ornament on ...Within a week Charlie will know every ornament on your tree. I think baking with Charlie sounds like a lot of fun and maybe even a tradition in the making. I'm glad to hear he was so well behaved with the tree. Maybe he will be content with his two special ornaments. I think Charlie is to be commended for his good behavior with ornaments. I've just spent a wonderful hour on the floor in front of the bookcase, looking through our Christmas books, reading and enjoying them immensely. Some of my recommendations: Jan Brett's Christmas Treasury, Bear Stays Up for Christmas, Cranberry Christmas, and my all-time favorite, The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey. Charlie might like it better in a year or two, but I absolutely love it and I bet you might also. Thanks for reminding me of all the great Christmas books!
