Sunday Sundries.

...I've been enjoying Barb's (mostly) weekly Sunday Sundries not only for the beautiful photography but also the simple idea of sharing a short list of celebrations. I finally have orange tulips on my kitchen counter and this seemed as good a reason to join in as any!

Here are a few other things I'm celebrating right now:

Snow days meant more Charlie time this week. I got to spend Tuesday and Wednesday (and Wednesday night with him and his mama).
from Wednesday (breaking in the new quilt from his great aunt Lydia)
FaceTime. Katie has been wonderful about calling me most mornings to share a few moments with Charlie (taking after me and his mama, he's a real morning person :-) Marc's in China this week and FaceTime works so much better than Skype for keeping in touch. I've also started regular Saturday morning calls with Diane; we "met" on Ravelry and it's been great fun to actually see each other and our knitting projects while we chat.

Yesterday felt like Spring. Holly and I took a late afternoon walk and felt the almost-warm sunshine. (today is much cooler and it's drizzling... Winter is holding on tight!)
from yesterday's walk...no jackets!
My kitchen counter. I smiled when I looked at that top photo above...and decided I also needed to share the view from the opposite side. When Marc's gone, I pretty much live in this space (except to shower and sleep). It really does have everything I need.

I know Barb would love to have you visit...and share your own celebrations. Happy Sunday!

Such a lovely Sunday, Saturday's weather was indeed a bit of a tease. Right now I'm hanging out on the laptop watching tv with Sophie on one side of the couch and Steve on the other. A cocktail and knitting very close at hand-am loving these moments right now.

I love your kitchen and that you found orange tulips. Aren't they the best? and they get even better as they wilt and die. Your weather is far different from mine - we are very cold and snowy and will be for some time. I'm so happy that my Sunday Sundries make you smile and that you joined in the party! Thank you so much!

Charlie is growing so fast ... I've enjoyed your photos and the one of your work space in particular. If my DH was away and I had no caring responsibilities, I don't think I'd move far from my creative corner either :).

I wish our kitchen was big enough for an island but it just won't work. What a great space to hang out. And that Charlie gets cuter all the time!

Sunday is a wonderful day to find the simple things in your life to celebrate. You have a nice space to claim as your own. Charlie looks more and more boy like and he is certainly full of joy!

Tulips, Charlie, and a taste of spring sound like great Sunday sundries. I love the "both sides now" view of your kitchen counter!

What a delightful post! Look at that Charlie grow!!!! (And I am the same when Tom is out of town. I camp out at the kitchen island, and don't tidy up until he's due to return. Works for me!)

I can't get enough of that Charlie! Look at those shining eyes! And I do love camping out in the kitchen too. For hours. :-)

Awww -- I got a "shout out" in your blog!!! Thank you! I have really enjoyed Coffee with Mary on Saturdays! ;-) Your work space looks a bit like my kitchen table. Why do we seem to "live" in our kitchens?? Charlie, Holly and tulips -- all a cheerful sight!
