I have not read any Harry Potter and doubt I ever will - do think I tried it but none of us in my family were too enamored...that included my mom, my sister and nieces. When he finally jumped on the train he read the first two in three days I think! Until she waited too long to release 5 or 6 and then he was 14ish and had moved on. I feel worse about it than he does! I think they are best read "for the first time" and I'm also grateful that we got to read them as the whole story unfolded. Ryan and I built our book relationship around HP, reading them together, attending release parties, and seeing the movies then critiquing all the things they left out, and it looks like you and Sara also got to share them (which made them even better)!
