Three on Thursday | Hello March.

March 1, on our morning walk
Hello March!

You blew in a few days before I was ready, but that's ok. I love seeing spring outside ... even if it doesn't feel like it yet. and no rush about that, I can use the extra time 😉. In the spirit of Thursday, here are three things I'm looking forward to this month:

1. Daylight Savings Time. yes. really. In the past, I've been a whiner about that lost hour, but this year, I plan to embrace the evening light. Marc is nearly giddy anticipating the golf course staying open until 7 o'clock!

2. A road trip with my mom. She's rented a house in the North Carolina mountains and we're meeting her friend who also moved from Florida last fall. Menu planning has already begun - girl trips are so much fun!

3. Seeing Sara. She'll be here for business the last week of the month and she's flying in the weekend before. I know two little boys and a host of other family members who are looking forward to seeing her, too!

I'm glad you're a long month - here's to celebrating every day of it!

xo - M.

Joining in with Carole and crew for Three on Thursday - see all the lists here.

I will miss the temporary loss of morning light, but the time change does not bother me much. Sherman and Steve however are another story!

Here is to a marvelous March!

I'm looking forward to DLS too. I'm up late at night & tend to sleep late in the day so I feel like the sun is starting to set about the time I wake up during the winter months. Your NC mountain trip sounds like fun!

If I recall, it only takes about a week for the morning light to "catch up." I had fiddling around with the clocks twice a year, but it is what it is...

I still say what good is that extra hour of daylight if it's still too cold to have a cocktail on the deck!?

Looks like March will be a great month! Fletch can't wait for the clocks to change...but he gets up much later than I do. The road trip with your Mom sounds great!!

Oh I want to go to NC with you! (Soooo sad Dan does not live there any longer!) I'll be happy with the time change too and am happy to hear Sara will be in town!

1. Don't like DST! So love the daffodils! Very few around here, yet.
2. Bet you are counting the days til Sara comes...
3. Enjoy your trip to NC; I hope the weather accommodates ...
Cheers~

March sounds like a month packed with fun for you, Mary! Good stuff on your calendar! I generally don't like the spring time change (because losing that hour. . . ), but I adapt to the change so much quicker in the spring than the fall. And I do love having that extra hour of light in the evening. Welcome, March!

Although I'm not a big fan of losing an hour, I do love it being light later in the evening. And those daffodils are a sight for sore eyes. : ) A road trip with mom and a visit with your daughter -- yes, your March does sound like it's going to be a good one!

This is my favorite month as I love DSL, enjoy celebrating spring (and my b-day) and generally just feel so good that winter is ending!
