...of good things to come. Most blooms on one of my hisbiscus(es?) so far this season. I have two bushes. This one was the slow starter but I think it's more than made up for that!

Also a sign (and until I saw the hibiscus was "the" sign). Since I finished my knitting project, I was seriously considering starting a new one. And received an email that my new-favorite yarn store is open tomorrow! Yes, from 10 til at least 2. So of course I'm thinking a new knitting project! I really wanted to make this wrap sweater that the Yarn Harlot featured on her recent tour, but the pattern was $5 plus $5 for shipping - how can it possibly be $5 to ship a few sheets of paper? (I didn't consider that a sign I shouldn't start a new project - no, that was just a sign the wrap sweater wasn't the "right" project). I spent some more time searching and found these three lovely patterns - all free (a sign?!) - socks, fingerless gloves and a pullover. I'm going to take all three patterns with me tomorrow and let the yarn guide my choice. I think I'm secretly worried that socks will be the choice. From everything I see on-line, socks are seriously addictive...and I probably need a new addiction like a hole in head! Along the way, I found this great site with some good knitting blog links.

Dinner last night was yummy (especially with the trays!). And the movie was seriously funny...in an off sort of way (at one point there's a dead body in the back of an old VW van...and we were laughing!)

Tortellini with fresh tomato sauce. Tossed 3 chopped roma tomatoes with one chopped shallot, a few leaves of fresh basil, chopped, about 1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese and a few tablespoons of olive oil. Cooked 12 oz. fresh tortellini and tossed with the sauce - along with about 1/4 c. pasta water. Tossed and served. And raisin walnut pumpernickel bread (we heart trader joes!) We loved it!
