Numbers.

...please forgive me. I think a few of these numbers are gonna be tough. I apologize in advance!

One of the things my sister and I discussed at some length on Wednesday was the Thanksgiving social calendar. My parents are visiting (as they do) and we wanted to be sure we provided ample opportunity for seeing children, grandchildren, and great grandchild...and football and cocktails and holiday meals... and I do vaguely recall she threw out a crazy "four" number.

but it didn't really hit home until I was at my hairdresser yesterday. needing to reschedule my every-five-weeks-without-fail appointment that would fall on Thanksgiving. yep, my folks will be here in just four weeks. and we'll be having our first of many get togethers at my sister's four weeks from today.

then Katie and I talked a bit yesterday about holiday plans and I realized then that Christmas was exactly four weeks after Thanksgiving. that's actually really great news for those of us who have live trees. it's a really short advent season.

this morning I noted those things in my journal ... and it hit me. that means it's going to be 2015 in only 4 + 5 + 1 = 10 weeks. yikes!!!

ok, the scary part is over.

now I have photos of a nearly six week old (tomorrow!) little boy to share. I visited last night for dinner and bath time and Katie was nice enough to take a few photos of play time. He's learning to smile (practicing to be a charmer is what I think) and loves the ceiling fan. and books. and close up faces. six weeks.

xo.

(Okay. You might get this twice. My apologies. But the first comment didn't seem to "take.") Those numbers are pretty scary, but more than offset by the sweetness of that little face! Such a sweetheart -- and growing so fast!

Charlie is so adorable! And YIKES on the short clock between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I always feel pressured to get the Chirstmas decorations up lickety split when Thanksgiving is late like it is this year.

I like that adorable six much more than those pesky fours you mentioned!

Your little Charlie is about as cute as a baby boy can be! He certainly is a charmer. How nice you can be there to bath and hold him. It's a little stunning how quickly the year goes by. I look forward to the the day the light returns and the days grow longer.

Oh, he is ADORABLE!! Yikes. I have not paid much attention to the calendar... things are just going to happen however it works out this year. Maybe next year, too. Brand new territory.
