Ten on Tuesday | On My Bucket List.

...for this summer. Today, Carole's asked us to share items on our Summer 2015 lists. Even though the season doesn't officially start until next week, school around here ends before Memorial Day. That means we are into our fourth week of summer, which seems about right since it was 97 degrees this afternoon. in the shade. I'm not complaining ;-), but I'm very grateful for air conditioning. And I'm very much in the mood to talk about summer!

1. Get to a farmers' market, hopefully here and in Madison.

2. Make bread salad.

3. and caprese salad. (and eat them with someone who loves them as much as I do. this would not be Marc.)

4. Find the perfect Italian white wine for summer sipping.

5. Go on a picnic.

6. Watch fireworks on the 4th of July.

7. Dance.

8. Try bourbon.

9. Read Go Set a Watchman (or maybe listen to Reese Witherspoon read it out loud).

10. Watch the final season of Mad Men. (and hopefully...love it!)

Can't wait to see what fun the rest of you have planned for the next three months! If you're not already playing along, you can click here to join the Ten on Tuesday fun.

I guess this means I should stop complaining about our 88 degrees and 83% humidity. I'm wondering if summer might be further improved by trying some of these simultaneously - wine & fireworks, bourbon & Mad Men... I think I'll give it a try and report back. Happy Summer!

I can't even begin to comment on temperatures like those without crying - I've got three layers on here and it is raining. But rejoicing at all those happy things on your list. I'd be giving no 8 a miss, but happily joining in with no 7.

That all sounds great. But - you've never tried bourbon? Seriously? Allow me to make a suggestion. Woodford Reserve.

I'll come over and eat both of those salads with you AND re-watch the last season of Mad Men. I loved it. I'll find the wine for us. :-)

OK, I had to laugh...try bourbon? Carole has a great suggestion, but I prefer the purity of whiskey, Irish or rye.
I'll eat the caprese with you!!

Let me know when/if you find the perfect white wine for sipping. I'm such a red girl but know I should switch over for summer.

Mmmm, we don't have home-grown tomatoes yet, but we do have lots of basil, so have had caprese salad a couple of times... this week!!
