Unraveled Wednesday | The Blanket's Tale.

Joining in with Kat and friends today to share an update on Sam's birthday blanket. In stark contrast to my last two projects, this one has traveled very little. It spent its first few days at my kitchen counter, but it did get to see the sixth season of Call the Midwife (which might be my favorite one so far --- oh the stories were so good and I really enjoyed the new characters)
yep, tissues at the ready!

Yesterday it traveled to the local car dealership to see a few episodes of Fixer Upper while I got my car serviced (boy, folks who say they "don't have the patience to knit" confound me; I don't have the patience not to knit).

And today it traveled to a local Starbucks for knitting with friends.

It had a very good time. as did I. and I love that I'm on track with my "one repeat a day" goal. The repeats are 24 rows and there are 18-1/2 of them; at that pace, I'll comfortably finish before the party on the 28th. Thanks to this afternoon's knitting, I have just two rows to finish today's repeat. I'm headed to my sister's house for knitting as soon as I finish this post --- I think I'll have a nice headstart for tomorrow!

I hope your project(s) has seen something good this week, too!  Head over to Kat's to check in with what others are knitting (and reading... I owe y'all an update on that ... next week!)

The blanket is awesome and I'm glad you've got a plan to stay on track - hope it all works out!

Hard to believe that our tiny people are turning one! Maybe I need to knit a blanket for my little guy too.

What a cool blanket! My knitting has been watching Ken Burns' The Vietnam War. (It would prefer Call the Midwife, I'm sure, but the knittER is all caught up with that one.)

I'm glad this blanket isn't a big traveler, especially as it grows larger. I also don't have the patience not to knit, and am always amazed at the number of people I see sitting in drs. offices, waiting rooms, and meetings - just sitting!

What a great blanket! It seems as though it's getting around just enough. ;)

The blanket is fabulous, but I have a very hard time believing Sam is anywhere near a year old!

that is beautiful!!! I would love to have a big knitting group - there are four of us in all but it used to be over ten. I guess some knitters are not in it for the long run.
