Three on Thursday | April Loves.

Hello April, Hello Thursday, Hello (finally!?!) starting to feel like myself again.

I'm in the habit of sharing a "hello" post when it's the first Thursday of the month, but when Marc came into the kitchen this morning with a 2 inch pile of photos from his visits to Augusta (seriously, y'all, Marc does not get excited about much, but he loves The Masters) I thought about "things I love about The Masters" ($1.50 pimiento cheese sandwiches? azaleas as pretty as they must be in heaven? no cellphones?)

But as the day unfolded, I decided to stick with my original plan. Here are three things I love about April:

1. The Masters. I was honestly surprised this morning to learn that Marc made his first visit to Augusta in 1979 (i.e., before I even knew him). The Masters wasn't even on my radar that year. But in the intervening 40 years ... I've become a fan (see above).
Marc - circa 1985? - at the Masters
2. #blueskyblooms.
this morning, when I arrived for my Circle meeting
at the park this afternoon
3. Beaufort. This will be our 10th year (we started in 2007 and had to skip two years). Cleaning up that Beaufort link ... has taken me a while this afternoon. I loved seeing the photos - - even those really tiny ones from my early blog years - - but they are quite the reminder that times have changed. and yes, I cried... which makes me even more grateful to have this tradition with the good women in my life.

April, even with all the pollen, I love you!

xo - M.

See all the other Three on Thursday posts over at Carole's!

Lovely things to love about April, Mary! (Although I'm still just kind of reeling over your blue sky blooms. I'd be happy to just have blue sky BUDS at this point.) Enjoy! XO

No pollen here...yet! But, I might welcome it - especially after the dratted snowflakes that few about this morning!

Whatever those flowers are in the third photo, I LOVE them! They look vaguely honeysuckle-like, but the stems don't look viny enough. Please keep sharing those blue sky blooms!

I don't live with a golf enthusiast, so I can't say I really "get" golf or The Masters, but I bet some people might say the same thing about knitting! Happy April; it's really got something for everyone!

Those blue skies are calling my name - could really use some of that around here.

Those blue skies and flowers - I'm totally jealous, it's still cold here!

Blooms and blue sky! Love!! I'm not into golf or the Masters at all, but every year I handle renting a house in Augusta for our company...my managers take clients, etc. It's a big deal for them.

Those blue skies and flowers are gorgeous! I'm going to think about them on this cold, gray day. Have a great weekend!

Some very beautiful scenery in your day! And I'm enjoying taking a look back at your times in Beaufort. Some of the things I love about our April are the blooming trees and spring flowers despite lots of cold and snow. : )

I looked at all the Beaufort posts and I love all the different hair styles! :-) (Did you know I grew up on Sheffield Drive?) Glad you'll be heading to Beaufort again. And I don't think a New Englander would know what to do with a pimento cheese sandwich!

You blossoms and blue skies are so enviable! We've had hints of blue, but the season of blossoms has begun. Golf is not part of my vocabulary, but I see the attraction. Happy April!
