Unraveled Wednesday.

Thank you all for your kind notes and good wishes about my ankle. Holly and I did get out today for a very slow walk and while I won't be running anytime soon, I think I'll be back to walking with Marc in another day or two.

Apart from that walk, we spent most of the day in that same chair I showed you yesterday, knitting the same sweater (Taproot) and listening to the same book (4 3 2 1). Mid-afternoon, though, I put the sweater on waste yarn and got up for a try-on before I started the hip increases. Super happy with the fit so far

and loving the cable detail that shows up much better on the dress form by the window.

I'm also loving the book ... eight hours in (it's 37 hours total). Thank you to Kat for the recommendation! I've had mixed results with authors narrating their own books, but this one's a winner.

Head on over to Kat's to see what others are knitting and reading - and thank you Kat for hosting us!

That is a beautiful sweater! The cables are quite stunning.
I may have to check into 4321, seeing as it's getting such good reviews from knitters!

Oh that sweater is gorgeous! And, I am happy that you are on the mend! And, I can't wait for you to finish 4321 so I can talk with you about it!

Lovely sweater, Mary! I've decided to wait until the really long, dark days of winter to read 4 3 2 1. I'm eager to dive in -- but not quite yet. (I'm reading another - almost as long - book on audio right now: The Weight of Ink. Also very good!) So glad your ankle is on the mend.

Good to hear you're healing but taking it slow as your ankle gets stronger. The sweater is really lovely!!

I'm about 60% down with 4321 and I love it! Man Booker hit it out of the park with their grand prize this year. The sweater is fabulous, I love that cable detail.

Glad you were able to get out for a walk - hope you are feeling even better today. Love the sweater! and very interested in the book. My reading is way off, and I'm feeling a little desperate to get back to it. 4 3 2 1 sounds interesting - and lengthy, but I might give it a try.

Glad you're on the move somewhat again! And I love the sweater and the color. I've been reading about 4 3 2 1 and I'm not sure...I'll be interested to see what you say as I'm guessing it would be a listen for me asw well. (I started re-listening to The Dogstars b/c Dan is moving back to Colorado on Monday but had to put it aside for book group Handmaids Tale which I read all those years ago...I am still madly in love with Hig!)
