Three on Thursday | Randomly.

Random Thursday seems to be the theme this week. Here's my contribution:
waiting for the movie to start
1. We saw White Christmas on the big screen last night. (my mom was with us, too, but she left the theatre for the few minutes it took to get that three-of-us smiling selfie and she was fine not being included!) I'm sure I've seen this movie at least 50 times. I still love it.

2. I finished The Redemption of Scrooge this morning. At times I was really irritated that the author kept bringing up so many seemingly unrelated ideas in each chapter; it was hard to follow. But in the end, I decided it was fine. I found several new and wonderful take aways. Recommend if you are looking for a contemporary spiritual Advent devotion. (note that this is not Christian-lite ... and it's not just for lovers of A Christmas Carol.)

3. The snow and ice are almost gone. I just got back from a brisk walk to the lake with a few neighbors. It was lovely to catch up ... and to be outside!

Linking up with Carole and friends for Three on Thursday.

What a GREAT photo! That's one for the picture shelf! Glad to hear your snow and ice are gone...we are living in icy conditions everywhere right now with no end in sight. The good news...we're professionals! :-)

What a pretty picture of the three of you! You should frame that and give it to your Mom (and maybe one for each of you 3 too). We got another inch or so of snow last night. Bare roads and light traffic made for a very pretty ride into my office - the horse farm I pass was particularly beautiful.

We had our first significant snowfall yesterday -- managing 3.5 inches here, closer to 9" or 10" just a little bit north of us (thank goodness). What a cute photo of you three!!

I love that photo! We had snow on Saturday and more today - my drive up from the Cape was NOT fun, it was slippery and icky. But now the sun is out and all is well for the ride home.

Great photo, and I am envious of being able to see White Christmas on the big screen! I would have been singing along, for sure!! :)

What lovely smiles! Glad to hear your snow and ice are disappearing and hurray for braving the cold and getting outside! Although we didn't get a lot of snow, it has been bitter here, and we have been left with a thin layer of ice in places.

I've only seen White Christmas a couple of times, but I have the "Sisters" song running through my head now that I've seen that great photo! I'm with everyone else, that one needs to be framed and displayed!

GREAT photo! :-) White Christmas is probably my favorite Christmas movie. My sister and I used to watch it over and over again when we were young ("Sisters" is kind of our theme song. . . ) -- and now we actually plan a time to each watch it separately-but-at-the-same-time each year. Love it!

I think that White Christmas might have been one of the first movies I saw in color as a kid, and I loved it---all the beautiful dresses-in beautiful colors!
