Three on Thursday | The Beltline.

My two favorite little boys didn't have school yesterday. So I had the privilege of joining them and their mom at a new-to-me place in Atlanta - Ponce City Market and the Beltline. Same as last week, today's post doesn't quite fit into Three on Thursday, but I'm going for it anyway!
  1. The drive down was awful.
  2. It was totally worth it.
  3. I'm looking forward to our next visit (hopefully on a weekend!)
Point 1. (and the actual was even worse).
Thankfully the trip home was much better (see point 3).

Point 2. Where do I start? The cityscape views were amazing ...
headed north before lunch - Ponce City Market is ahead of us
headed north after lunch - the market is behind us

too cool! Charlie knew about this and made sure I saw
here's the door more "actual size"
but the up close shots with the boys....totally priceless!
even their mom couldn't convince them to smile!
but hotdogs could!!
Marc loves hotdogs. I don't. I texted him those photos and I think he almost wished he'd been there. (almost. it wasn't raining at home either. and golf.)

Point 3. ...maybe this Saturday.

Short weeks do fly by! I hope you're almost to the end of your to-do list ... because tomorrow is TGIF!

There is far too much red/traffic on that map, but it looks like it was worth it to see Charlie and Sam and their enjoyment of hotdogs. And those tiny doors! I might have to look for some (or maybe even build a few?) around here.

Looks like a really fun place to visit! I love a hot dog cooked over a campfire, I must say.

I love the tiny doors! Ann Arbor Michigan has a collection of tiny doors (they call them Fairy doors!) and they are fun for all ages! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy_Doors_of_Ann_Arbor

Those hot dogs do look amazing! Or maybe it's the hot dog eaters! :)

Oooo! Fun! (Except that drive. Ugh.) Ann Arbor has a bunch of tiny doors (they're called "fairy doors" in Ann Arbor), and they are such a delight. (Here's a link if you're interested: http://www.onlyinyourstate.com/michigan/fairy-doors-ann-arbor-mi/) I'm sure the boys were charmed by the tiny door -- but hard to compete with those hot dogs. Have a great weekend, Mary. XO

I LOVE that tiny door!! When we visited Monhegan Island in Maine, we found that the residents had built fairy houses all along some of the hiking trails. charming!

Ugh to your ride in (my commute today was an hour to go 12-13 miles!).

All of that fun waiting at the end of all of that red. Love the tiny door but the best is the look on Sam's face as he enjoys his hot dog. : ) Happy weekend!

That building has a lot of history-Sears Roebuck, APD headquarters and now a shopping mecca. It is also the largest red brick building in North America [at least that's what I've been told]. Looks like y'all had a fun day.

All our old haunts from when Andrew had a condo on The Beltline. Happy that you were able to explore it.
