What's the Good Word?!

...To Hell with Georgia!!! (#thwg)

I can count the number of times Georgia Tech has won the annual Saturday-after-Thanksgiving matchup with Georgia on two hands (it's been eight times since 1979 when I started to watch). It appears little Charlie is indeed a lucky charm - because the eighth time happened today! The Jackets have had a pretty great 2014 season - including the Saturday Charlie was born and they beat Georgia Southern (and Georgia lost to South Carolina).

At this point, we find it's easier not to watch the game (in real time). Marc golfed. Sara and I played a pre-game visit to the Tieman's (when I took the photo above), but we left just before kickoff. Then we watched four episodes of Homeland while Sara monitored Tech's twitter feed. Only when I was sure we'd won - in overtime! - did I post my lucky charm photo ... and see what else was on Instagram. My feed is usually knitters and food, but today there was a lot of Georgia Tech spirit!

Katie's photo is - no surprise! - my favorite!

(hoping your team won today, too... unless of course, your team was Georgia!)
