Stockinette for Days.

...pretty much sums up my knitting. And I'm really ok with that! So yep, still knitting No Tails.  The back is done and blocked; this is the the front. Which will hopefully go fast, because there are also two sleeves, a cowl neck and a couple of seams to go.  I'm still hoping to wear it "over Thanksgiving", which I'm loosely interpreting to mean sometime next week đŸ˜‰ (whoa - look! blogger added emoji support!)

I've been watching a lot of Gilmore Girls (less than 10 days now until the new episodes drop!), but I'm doing a little reading on my iPad. This is Belgravia, by Julian Fellowes. It's ok, but honestly not nearly as entertaining as Lorelei and Rory (nor as Downton Abbey in its good days).

and a little reading on my phone. The plot has taken a few twists and turns that took me by surprise and I can't wait to see how it ends... hopefully this morning!

Linking up again with Ginny and looking forward to seeing what everyone else is knitting and reading this week.

Happy Wednesday!

  1. Knitting stockinette or garter stitch while reading is one of my favorite pastimes!

  2. I just looked at No Tails details and can hardly conceive of a lace-weight sweater! I know you're using it doubled, but that is indeed stockinette for days! I really enjoyed The Lightkeepers with its wonderful descriptions of wildlife and Xe Sands is the perfect narrator.

  5. I've never quite gotten the hang of knitting and reading. My Netflix watching is going to start (tomorrow night) with The Crown!

  6. Like Margene, I don't have the knack for knitting and reading at the same time. But, I did start listening to Moby Dick (mobydickbigread) the other night while knitting and thoroughly enjoyed 9 chapters! I bet you meet your goal for the sweater and I, for one, can't wait to see the finished product.

  7. I don't knit and read-read at the same time either, but I do knit and listen-read all the time. My knitting tends to slow down a lot when I knit and watch Netflix ... but I still do it! :-)

  8. Not sure I could knit and read, but an audio book might be just the ticket ... I love the cover and design of yours. Sounds a very soothing activity ...

  9. I'm making a little progress on pretty much everything-maybe I should just knuckle down one one. Several are stockinette so you'd think it'd go woosh!
